WI x WOW (Women of the World): calling on your local hero nominations

This year, the WI is proud to be teaming up with the WOW Foundation - a hugely respected organisation that exists to build, convene and sustain a global movement that believes a gender equal world is desirable, possible and urgently required.

WOW are celebrating and showcasing the incredible "local heroes" who make a real difference in their community. Nominations are now open, and WOW would love for WI members to participate by nominating someone they know who tirelessly supports women and girls. NFWI's involvement not only helps us and WOW discover amazing stories - but also provides a great platform for us to highlight the impactful work local members and Federations are doing on a local and national level.

Here’s how you can get involved:

1. Nominate a Hero: Use this form to submit your nominations via WOW's website.
2. Spread the word: Share the news with your local networks and encourage others to nominate their heroes. WOW have prepared a news story, suggested social media posts, images and short videos with WOW founder Jude Kelly, to help you promote the nominations. You can find all resources here.
